Does Social Media Traffic Affect SEO Performance?

According to my experiment, yes!

I finally realized an experiment that has been on my mind for a long time and I would like to share the data I obtained with you.

In this experiment for our page https://www.batuhandurmaz.com/egitimler/google-analytics-egitimi/, our goal was to improve the organic performance of our page by providing traffic to our page via social media. As a digital marketing enthusiast who values the concept of traffic diversity, this was a very interesting experiment idea for me.

In order to realize this experiment, we made an announcement on twitter with 2 different tweet series, including the free version of our training as of April 22nd. (Tweet)

With this tweet, we attracted visitors to our https://www.batuhandurmaz.com/egitimler/google-analytics-egitimi/ page.

Apart from that, we have not made any additions to our site in terms of content.

And what was the result?

As we expected, there have been remarkable improvements in our organic SEO performance. You can see these improvements in our graphs below.

The improvement we achieved is as follows in percentage terms;

While the total number of impressions in the 7 days before the Tweet was 295, after the Tweet, the situation was observed as 384. Of course, this graph continued to increase.

As a result, in our experiment, I think that attracting users to our target pages through different traffic sources and ensuring that these users circulate within the site can affect our SEO performances.
